  • You had a cardiac arrest that was not caused by an injury
  • You are admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU)
  • Your motor response score is 5 or less
  • You are in the medium-risk group on the TIMECARD score
  • You do not have certain conditions like bleeding in the brain, blood clotting problems, or a terminal illness
