- You are 18 years or older.
- You have adenocarcinoma of the esophagus or stomach-junction that has not spread to distant organs.
- You are healthy enough for surgery and have a doctor who says surgery is an option.
- You can perform daily activities with little to no help (ECOG 0 or 1).
- If you could become pregnant, you have a negative pregnancy test and agree to use birth control.
