Who can take part

  • Your child had a fetal brain MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) more than 3 years ago at one of four specific hospitals.
  • Your child does not have an abnormality of the corpus callosum (the band of fibers connecting the brain's two sides).
  • Your child does not have a genetic syndrome, chromosome problem, or a known harmful gene change.
  • Your child does not have serious birth defects outside the brain that are part of a syndrome.
  • Your child was not diagnosed with poor growth in the womb (intrauterine growth restriction) during pregnancy.
  • Your child was not exposed to certain infections (like TORCH) or substances (like alcohol or drugs) before birth.
