Brain MRI study for babies at risk of cerebral palsy

Who can take part

  • Your baby must be born before 32 weeks or weigh less than 1500 grams at birth, or have a known brain injury or risk factors for cerebral palsy.
  • If your baby is 9 months or older, they may not be able to sit up on their own, or they may show uneven hand use or crawling.
  • You must agree to share any important health findings from the study with your baby's doctor.
  • Your baby cannot have any metal or electronic device (like a pacemaker) inside their body.
  • Families need to speak and understand Danish, and be willing to learn about any unexpected findings from the MRI or assessments.
