Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 80 years old.
- You are on the waiting list for a liver transplant at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH).
- Your MELD-Na score (a measure of liver disease severity) is 25 or lower.
- You are not listed as Status 1a (the most urgent transplant category).
- You do not have significant heart or lung disease, and you have not had a prior liver transplant.
- You are not currently on blood pressure support medications (pressors), and you are not someone with a low MELD score (under 15) who has no symptoms from liver disease.
