Who can take part

  • You have gum disease (periodontitis) that affects many of your teeth
  • You have bad breath (halitosis) that is likely coming from your mouth
  • You are at least 18 years old and in good general health
  • You have not taken antibiotics in the last 3 months
  • You are not pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning pregnancy in the next 6 months
  • You have at least 20 natural teeth
