Who can take part
- You must have been diagnosed with prostate cancer in the last 9 months (confirmed by biopsy).
- Your cancer must be classified as unfavorable intermediate, high, or very high risk (your doctor can determine this based on stage, Gleason score, and PSA level).
- You should not have had prior radiation to the pelvis or any surgery/treatment that removed or destroyed prostate tissue (like TURP, HIFU, or laser).
- Your urinary symptoms need to be mild to moderate (IPSS score less than 20). Alpha blockers like tamsulosin are okay.
- You must be healthy enough for brachytherapy (radioactive seed implants) and able to complete questionnaires in English, French, or Spanish.
