Who can take part
- Low or favorable intermediate risk prostate cancer (according to NCCN guidelines)
- Prostate smaller than 80cc (size of a small apple)
- Good urinary function (IPSS score under 20, urine flow rate above 10, and little leftover urine)
- No previous prostate surgery (TURP) or hip replacements
- No radiation to the pelvis in the past, no active other cancer (except skin cancer), no inflammatory bowel disease, and no serious health issues that could interfere with treatment
