Who can take part

  • Your baby was born before 30 weeks of pregnancy.
  • Your baby is in a participating NICU (Jacobs, Rancho Springs, Scripps La Jolla, Rady Children's, or Palomar).
  • You agree to let your baby take part in the study.
  • Your baby does not have serious birth defects or other health issues needing long-term support.
  • Your baby has not been on a breathing tube for more than 28 days.
