Who can take part

  • You are scheduled for elective back surgery on your lower spine while lying face down.
  • You are between 18 and 80 years old.
  • Your physical status is rated ASA I or II (generally healthy or mild disease).
  • You do not have uncontrolled health problems like severe infections or inflammatory diseases.
  • You have not had back surgery before or taken certain anti-nausea or pain medications recently.
