Who can take part

  • You are between 25 and 64 years old.
  • You have been diagnosed with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) for at least 5 years.
  • Your OCD symptoms are severe (score of 28 or higher on a specific OCD scale for the first part, or 24 or higher for the second part).
  • You have tried at least three different OCD medications at high enough doses and for long enough, and also tried adding other medications or therapy, but symptoms have not improved enough.
  • You are able to lie still on your back for the treatment and can talk to the doctor during it.
  • You do not have serious health problems like heart disease, bleeding disorders, brain tumors, or metal implants that would make MRI unsafe.
