Who can take part
- You have hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and your cancer cannot be removed with surgery, transplant, or radiofrequency ablation (RFA).
- Your scans show at least one measurable liver tumor (or a tumor blood-vessel blockage) and imaging was done within the last month.
- You may have a small amount of spread outside the liver (up to a total size limit under 2 cm).
- Your liver function must be in Child-Pugh Class A, and you must not have major problems from high pressure in the portal vein system.
- Blood counts and organ function must meet lab limits, and your overall health must be good (ECOG 0–1).
- You cannot have had prior cancer treatment taken as a whole-body medicine; certain recent radiation and other cancer therapies also exclude you.
