Who can take part
- Diagnosed with an ischemic stroke (a stroke caused by a blockage) within the last week.
- Between 18 and 70 years old.
- Stroke symptoms are moderate to moderately severe (scoring 6–20 on a standard stroke severity test).
- You have a visible stroke on brain MRI or CT in the outer layer of the brain (hemispheric cortical infarct).
- You have no active bleeding in the brain, no other serious health issues, and have adequate liver and kidney function.
- If you received clot-busting drugs or a mechanical clot removal procedure, you may still be eligible.
