  • You had a stroke between 6 and 72 hours ago (roughly 3 days or less)
  • Your stroke severity is mild to moderate (specific neurological scores between 6–20)
  • You weigh between 99–198 pounds (45–90 kg)
  • You don't have significant disability or major health problems before this stroke
  • You haven't had brain bleeding, blood clots, or recent major surgery
  • Your blood counts, kidney, liver, and heart function are mostly normal
