Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • This is your first heart attack (you have never had one before).
  • Your heart attack happened in the front wall of your heart, and you had a catheter procedure within 6 hours of symptoms starting.
  • Your heart doctor can see that a key artery (the LAD) has a blockage that can be treated with a stent.
  • You do not have severe kidney, liver, or lung problems, and you are not allergic to MRI contrast or the medications used.
