Who can take part

  • You’re 18 or older
  • Your heart attack (STEMI) was within the last 30 days
  • You already had the emergency “opening” procedure (primary PCI) and key blocked spots were treated successfully
  • You have no major heart-related setback between the emergency procedure and the planned (staged) random treatment
  • You have at least one other non-heart-attack artery blockage (about 50–90% by angiogram) that looks suitable for treatment
  • You can take “dual antiplatelet therapy” (DAPT, blood-thinning medicines) for at least 6 months
