Who can take part

  • You are 18 years old or older
  • You are considered high-risk for complications (for example, you have a higher ASA score, reduced lung function, or certain other risk factors)
  • You are scheduled for planned (non-emergency) lung surgery through an open chest, video-assisted, or robotic approach
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding, and you use effective birth control if you can become pregnant
  • You are not currently in another trial that might interfere with this one
