Who can take part
- You’re 18 years or older and can give consent for the study
- You’re having abdominal, orthopedic, or vascular surgery under general anesthesia (fully asleep)
- Your surgery is expected to last more than 2 hours and you have ASA II or higher
- You have at least two health conditions such as high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, smoking, stroke history, kidney disease, or similar listed conditions
- You are not currently in pregnancy and you are not breastfeeding
