Who can take part

  • You must be 18 or older.
  • You must have been diagnosed with a grade 3 or 4 glioma (aggressive brain tumor) and already had standard treatments like radiation or chemotherapy.
  • Your tumor must have come back or progressed based on scans or a biopsy.
  • All tumor spots must be in the upper part of the brain (above the tentorium) and the largest one must be 30 mm or smaller on an MRI scan.
  • You should be well enough to have the procedure, with a Karnofsky score of 60 or higher (meaning you can care for most of your own needs).
  • You cannot be pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning pregnancy within 6 months, and must not have a bleeding disorder or be unable to have an MRI with contrast.
