Who can take part

  • You have a low-grade brain tumor that has come back or is growing after at least one prior treatment (like surgery or medication).
  • The tumor can be safely reached with a laser, is up to 5 cm wide (not including any fluid-filled cysts), and is not in certain spots like the optic nerve or spinal cord.
  • You are between 2 and 25 years old.
  • You have fully recovered from side effects of previous treatments, and any chemotherapy or targeted therapy ended at least 3 weeks ago (6 weeks for some drugs).
  • You are able to walk (or use a wheelchair), and you are on a stable or decreasing dose of steroids for at least a week if needed.
