Who can take part

  • You are 18 or older.
  • You have been diagnosed with acute coronary syndrome (heart attack or unstable angina).
  • You do not have diabetes or any history of diabetes.
  • You are willing and able to attend follow-up appointments.
  • You do not have severe medical conditions like cirrhosis, cancer, severe lung disease, heart failure, or kidney failure.
  • You must have survived until reaching the hospital.
