Who can take part

  • You are between 50 and 85 years old.
  • You have dry age-related macular degeneration (AMD) with at least one large drusen (a yellowish deposit larger than 125 microns).
  • You have taken antiplatelet drugs (like aspirin or clopidogrel) in the past.
  • You do not have advanced AMD (like geographic atrophy or wet AMD) or other retinal diseases (like retinal detachment or diabetic macular edema).
  • You have not had a prior injection of anti-VEGF (a drug for wet AMD) or laser treatment in the eye.
  • You are not currently taking certain medications like SSRIs, SNRIs, azole antifungals, NSAIDs, more than one antiplatelet drug, or blood thinners.
