Better diagnosis of cardiac amyloidosis using warning signs

This trial aims to better diagnose cardiac amyloidosis — a condition where abnormal proteins build up in the heart — by testing whether certain warning signs (called 'red flags') can help identify it. If you have any of these signs, the study will use heart scans to confirm the diagnosis.

Who can take part

  • You must have at least one 'red flag' sign that might be linked to cardiac amyloidosis.
  • You must be willing to participate in additional heart imaging tests (like an MRI or bone scan).
  • You cannot have any metal implants (unless they are MRI-safe), severe claustrophobia, or severe kidney problems that would make the imaging tests unsafe.
  • You must not have been diagnosed with another condition that causes abnormal substances to build up in your heart.
