- You have a pleural catheter (a tube in your chest) that is not draining well.
- You have a moderate to large amount of fluid in your chest that is causing symptoms like shortness of breath.

- You are 18 years or older.
- Your catheter is not blocked, and you have no active bleeding or bleeding disorder.
