Testing Medication Injections for Lung Fluid Infections

  • You are 18 years or older
  • You have a serious lung infection with fluid around the lungs that requires a chest tube
  • You have not received any medications injected into your chest cavity through a current chest tube before joining this trial
  • You are not currently taking blood thinners (anticoagulation medications)
  • You are able to give your own consent or have a designated family member or medical decision maker who can consent for you
