- You have a type of thymus cancer that cannot be removed by surgery and has not been treated with chest radiation before.
- You are between 18 and 70 years old.
- You are in fairly good health (able to care for yourself and up and about more than half of the day).
- Your blood, lung, heart, liver, and kidney function are within safe limits for this treatment.
- You do not have other active cancers, a large amount of fluid around the lungs or heart, or a history of chest radiation or metal implants that could interfere with the radiation.
