Who can take part

  • You are 18 to 65 years old
  • Your spinal cord injury is “incomplete” (your body still has some sensation) and is above the T10 level
  • Your injury happened at least 2 years ago, and you are considered stable and not walking
  • Your strength in your upper body is good (about at least 4 out of 5) and there isn’t a major worsening of movement
  • Your MRI and body anatomy allow the electrode to be placed on the spinal cord (epidural) and you can have MRI scans
  • You do not already have a spinal/brain/peripheral nerve/inside-the-body stimulator implant, and you are not on blood thinners
