Who can take part

  • You have had pain or numbness going down one leg for more than 3 months due to a disc problem at L5-S1.
  • You are between 35 and 60 years old.
  • You have a positive straight leg raise test (pain when lifting your leg while lying down).
  • You have not had surgery on your lower back.
  • You do not have conditions like spinal narrowing, scoliosis, heart problems, cancer, nerve damage, or a brain or spinal cord injury.
