Who can take part

  • You are a veteran aged 18-35, 50-80, or 50-85.
  • You have a history of mild traumatic brain injury (concussion) that caused a brief loss of consciousness (less than 30 minutes).
  • You are able to speak English and agree to the study procedures.
  • You do not have metal implants, pacemakers, or other objects that could interfere with MRI or brain stimulation.
  • You are not currently having thoughts of suicide, and you do not have serious neurological, kidney, or joint diseases.
  • You are not taking certain medications like benzodiazepines or gabapentin, and you smoke less than 1 pack of cigarettes per day.
