A shoe to improve walking after stroke

Who can take part

  • You had a stroke at least 3 months ago
  • You are 18 years or older
  • You use or may need an ankle-foot brace (AFO)
  • You can walk 10 meters (about 33 feet) with or without a cane or walker
  • Your medications have not changed for at least 3 months
  • You are willing to exercise with the shoe for 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week, for 6 months
