  • You had a stroke on one side of the brain at least 3 months ago
  • You can walk at least 30 feet, even with help
  • You have weakness lifting your foot (foot drop)
  • Your ankle can be moved enough for the test
  • You are between 18 and 85 years old
  • You do not have major memory or thinking problems
