Who can take part

  • You are 12 to 65 years old and have obesity caused by a brain injury affecting the hypothalamus (like a craniopharyngioma tumor) or have Prader-Willi syndrome
  • You have a body mass index (BMI) of 30 or higher (for adults) or a BMI at or above the 95th percentile for your age and sex (for children 12 to 17)
  • You have not had significant weight loss in the last 3 months and are not taking other weight-loss medications
  • You are medically stable and do not have serious psychiatric illness, active cancer, or severe lung, heart, or kidney disease
  • You agree to use effective contraception if you are able to become pregnant or father a child
  • You have not had bariatric surgery in the last 2 years (or 6 months for Prader-Willi) and are not pregnant or breastfeeding
