Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 75 years old.
- You have a head or neck cancer that is locally advanced (stage T3 or higher, or has spread to lymph nodes) and cannot be surgically removed.
- You are receiving or have just completed chemotherapy and radiation therapy at the same time.
- You are able to do most of your daily activities without help (ECOG 0-1).
- After radiation therapy, a blood test shows that a certain type of immune cell (CD8 T cells with PD1) is elevated (more than 10% of CD8 T cells, or at least double the level before treatment).
