Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older
  • You have been diagnosed with adult spinal deformity (a spine curve or misalignment that started in adulthood)
  • You are scheduled for spinal fusion surgery that connects three or more vertebrae and includes your sacrum or pelvis
  • You can stand, walk, and do daily activities without using a cane, walker, or other support
  • You are not pregnant
  • You do not have a spinal condition caused by a tumor, injury, or infection
