Who can take part

  • You have stage 4 colorectal cancer that has spread to the liver and can be removed with surgery.
  • You are at least 18 years old.
  • You are planning to have liver surgery after chemotherapy that includes a drug called oxaliplatin.
  • You are able to take care of yourself (up and about at least half the day).
  • You are not taking certain medications like Olanzapine or MAO inhibitors (some antidepressants).
  • You do not have severe nerve damage, liver disease, or other serious health issues that would interfere with the study.
