Classroom exercise breaks and children's thinking skills

This study tests whether short exercise breaks in the classroom can improve how children think and stay fit. Children will do simple physical activities during the school day, and researchers will measure changes in attention, memory, and physical fitness.

Who can take part

  • Your child must be between 8 and 12 years old.
  • Your child must have average or above-average thinking skills (IQ of 70 or more).
  • Your child must be able to do physical exercise safely (cleared by a health screening).
  • Your child must not have been diagnosed with a brain-related condition like epilepsy.
