Radiation Therapy for Oligoprogressive ER+ Breast Cancer

This trial tests whether a precise radiation treatment (SBRT) can target a few growing spots of estrogen receptor-positive breast cancer that has spread to other parts of the body. It also uses a special PET scan (FES PET/CT) to see how well the cancer responds. The goal is to slow down the cancer and delay the need for stronger treatments.

Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have estrogen receptor-positive (ER+) breast cancer that has spread to other parts of the body.
  • You have 1 to 4 spots of cancer that are growing and can be treated with a precise type of radiation called stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT).
  • You have had between 1 and 3 types of treatment for the cancer that has spread.
  • You are able to read and understand English or Spanish for questionnaires.
  • You are willing to use birth control if you or your partner could become pregnant.
