Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 80 years old.
  • You need TLIF surgery for one or two levels in your lower back due to a degenerative condition like a slipped disc, narrow spinal canal, or instability.
  • You have not had a previous fusion or artificial disc surgery at the same spot (minor decompression surgeries are okay).
  • You do not have severe osteoporosis, a BMI over 40, active infection, cancer, or an autoimmune disease that affects bone healing.
  • You are not pregnant, breastfeeding, or using certain medications that could interfere with bone healing (like long-term steroids).
