Who can take part

  • You have a lung infection that started in the hospital (at least 2 days after being admitted).
  • You are on a breathing machine and have low oxygen levels (PaO2/FiO2 < 300).
  • You have a high level of inflammation in your blood (CRP ≥ 150 mg/L).
  • You have started antibiotics for this pneumonia less than 2 days ago.
  • You are not pregnant, breastfeeding, or taking long-term steroids.
