Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older.
- You are in the intensive care unit (ICU) or a step-down unit, and have been in the hospital for less than 5 days.
- You have a confirmed flu infection (positive test within the last 5 days) and signs of pneumonia on a chest X-ray or CT scan.
- You need extra oxygen, non-invasive breathing support (like a mask), or a breathing tube to help you breathe.
- You are not currently in a state where you are expected to pass away soon, and you do not have certain conditions like a recent bone marrow transplant or severe immune suppression from chemotherapy.
