Who can take part

  • You had a stroke (either from a clot or bleeding) confirmed by a doctor and brain scan.
  • You are between 21 and 90 years old.
  • It has been more than 28 days since your stroke.
  • Your arm has some weakness but not too severe (score 10–60 on a standard arm movement test).
  • You live in a stable home and have a family member or friend who can supervise your exercises.
  • You can sit with support for one hour at a time.
  • You score above 21 on a memory and thinking test (MOCA).
  • You understand the research and can agree to join.
  • You do not have other medical conditions that would make participation unsafe, like uncontrolled diabetes, heart disease, or active cancer.
  • You do not have severe arm spasticity, open wounds, fractures, or constant arm pain (pain level 5 or higher on a 0–10 scale).
  • You do not have seizures, dementia, serious depression, or behavioral problems.
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding.
