This study tests whether a robot-guided therapy program can help people regain arm and hand movement after a recent stroke. You may be able to join if you are within a month of a first stroke on one side and have specific levels of arm and hand recovery.

Who can take part
- You had your first stroke affecting only one side of your body (either bleeding or blocked blood vessel).
- Your stroke happened less than 1 month ago.
- Your arm recovery level is in the early to mid range (stage 1 to 4).
- Your hand recovery level is also in the early to mid range (stage 1 to 4).
- You do not have apraxia (a problem planning or carrying out learned movements).
- You can sit in a chair for 3 hours at a time and have enough thinking ability for testing (Mini-Mental Test score 22 or higher).
