Who can take part

  • You had your first stroke affecting only one side of your body (either bleeding or blocked blood vessel).
  • Your stroke happened less than 1 month ago.
  • Your arm recovery level is in the early to mid range (stage 1 to 4).
  • Your hand recovery level is also in the early to mid range (stage 1 to 4).
  • You do not have apraxia (a problem planning or carrying out learned movements).
  • You can sit in a chair for 3 hours at a time and have enough thinking ability for testing (Mini-Mental Test score 22 or higher).
