Who can take part

  • You are currently in the hospital for heart failure, with symptoms like shortness of breath or swelling.
  • You are at least 10 pounds (4.5 kg) over your normal weight (without extra fluid).
  • You are 18 years or older and can understand and follow the study procedures.
  • You do not have severe kidney disease (eGFR <20) or need dialysis.
  • You do not have very low blood pressure or need IV medications to keep it up.
  • You are not pregnant or planning to become pregnant.
