Who can take part

  • You are between 21 and 79 years old.
  • You have heart failure with fluid buildup (swelling, shortness of breath) that is not getting better with at least 80 mg of furosemide (a water pill) each day.
  • Your water pill dose has not changed in the last 5 days.
  • Your kidney function (eGFR) is between 15 and 89.
  • Your blood pressure is at least 100 mmHg (systolic).
  • You do not have severe skin conditions on your legs, severe valve problems, or a history of heart transplant.
