Post-stent blood flow test with nitroglycerin for multivessel patients

Who can take part

  • You are 18 years old or older.
  • You have significant blockages (stenosis) in at least two major heart arteries (the doctor sees 50% or more narrowing on an angiogram).
  • You are scheduled to have a stent procedure (percutaneous coronary intervention, or PCI) in at least one of those blocked arteries.
  • You are able to take a medication called adenosine (used during the procedure) and are not allergic to it.
  • You are medically stable (not in the middle of a heart attack) and do not have a serious illness that would limit your life expectancy.
