Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 84 years old
  • You are scheduled for an elective heart stent procedure (PCI)
  • Your symptoms are stable angina or an acute coronary syndrome, but not involving a blocked “culprit” artery during the main emergency treatment
  • You can understand the study and sign consent
  • You can take aspirin plus a second anti-platelet medicine (like clopidogrel or similar) for at least 6–12 months, unless you take a blood thinner long-term
