- You are scheduled for elective surgery on your chest, abdomen, upper limbs, or lower limbs (such as lung removal, gallbladder removal, bowel surgery, or hysterectomy).
- This surgery is your first operation during this hospital stay.
- You agree to take part and sign a consent form.
- You do not have a history of alcohol or drug addiction, chronic pain, or bleeding problems.
- You are awake and alert before the surgery.
