Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 85 years old.
  • You are able to give informed consent.
  • You have had (or are about to have) a type of weight-loss surgery: gastric bypass, sleeve gastrectomy, or biliopancreatic diversion with duodenal switch.
  • You are either within 3 years after surgery, or will have surgery within the next 3 months (or had it within the last 30 days).
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding, and you have a negative pregnancy test.
  • You have not had autonomic problems before surgery, and your BMI is 35 or higher.
