Who can take part

  • For the wtATTR-CM group: You must be over 18 and have a confirmed diagnosis of wtATTR-CM through a heart biopsy or a special scan (DPD scintigraphy) with specific findings.
  • You cannot have other amyloid-related diseases like AL amyloidosis, myelomatosis, or Waldenström macroglobulinemia.
  • For the control group: You must be over 18 and have no known significant heart problems (like heart failure, atrial fibrillation, or a pacemaker).
  • For controls: You must have no signs or symptoms that might suggest cardiac amyloidosis, such as thickened heart walls, specific changes on your echocardiogram, or nerve issues.
