Who can take part

  • You are 18 years old or older
  • You had a head injury and a CT scan shows a blood clot outside the brain (epidural hematoma)
  • Your doctors agree that the clot can be managed without surgery
  • You are enrolled in the study within 6 hours of your injury, and treatment starts within 8 hours
  • The blood clot is on the surface of the brain (not inside the brain tissue)
